The medical team introduced under Shenzhen’s "Three Famous Health Project" (Sanming Project), the Endocrinology and Metabolism Team from the Third Affiliated Hospital, Sun Yat-sen University, has achieved another milestone. Professor Yanming Chen and Professor Xintao Shuai’s collaborative research has developed endothelia-targeting eye drops, which provides a potential solution for the treatment of retinal neovascularization in ischemic retinopathy. The findings were recently published in the renowned international journal Biomaterials.

It is reported that on May 17, ?the “Three Famous Health Project” initiative of the Endocrinology and Metabolism Team was officially launched in Shenzhen at the Eighth Affiliated Hospital, Sun Yat-sen University. This project aims to establish a comprehensive "clinical-research-translation" framework , injecting new impetus into the prevention and treatment of metabolic diseases.
