Overview
The hospital is composed of the headquarters and 32 community health service centers. With beautiful environment and comprehensive medical facilities, the hospital covers a construction area of 210,000 m2 and provides more than 1,200 parking spaces and over 1,300 beds. There are 50 clinical departments in the hospital, including two “Provincial Key Clinical Specialties”, namely orthopedics and cardiovascular internal medicine.
Research
Overview
Since 2019, the hospital has initiated over 80 projects funded by the National Natural Science Foundation of China. It has successively been approved for multiple major projects, including the National Key Research and Development Program of China, the Major Research Plan of National Natural Science Foundation of China, and international (regional) cooperation and exchange projects.
Education
Overview
The Eighth Affiliated Hospital, Sun Yat-sen University initiated graduate education in collaboration with Sun Yat-sen University in 2017 and enrolled our first batch of graduate students in 2018. To date, we have admitted a total of 608 graduate students, including 190 doctoral candidates and 418 master's students.
