Recently, the monograph "Virtual Reality for Psychological and Neurocognitive Interventions" primarily translated by Professor Yong Xu, the head of the Clinical Psychology Department from the Eighth Affiliated Hospital of Sun Yat-sen University, was published and distributed by the Science Press.

Prof. Xu is recognized as an outstanding talent by the Ministry of Education's New Century Program. He is also a leading scientific research talent among Sun Yat-sen University's high-level personnel, and holds a special appointment as a Category B talent within the Shenzhen Health System. Additionally, prof. Xu is a registered supervisor in the Clinical and Counseling Psychology Registration System of the Chinese Psychological Society and one of the first registered psychological counselors of the Chinese Mental Health Association.
Professor Xu has led and participated in a series of significant research projects, including 1 national key research and development program, 5 projects funded by the National Natural Science Foundation of China, and 15 provincial and ministerial-level projects.
He has been awarded 12 patents and computer software copyrights (co-authored). As the principal investigator, he has received the first prize of the provincial Natural Science Award and the second prize of the provincial Science and Technology Progress Award.
Professor Xu has published a total of 205 SCI papers (137 in the past five years), with a cumulative impact factor of 614.873 (382.482 in the past five years).
