The Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) Department is a first-level clinical department with TCM outpatient department and TCM ward. There are 22 doctors and 5 therapists, including 6 doctors with doctoral degrees?, 10 with master’s degrees, 9 undergraduates, and 2 junior college students. This includes 5 doctors with senior titles, 17 with intermediate titles, and 5 with junior college titles, as well as 21 nurses, 1 master's degree holder, 16 undergraduates, and 4 junior college students. Diseases that can be treated by Chinese medicine include cardiovascular, geriatric, orthopedic, digestive, and endocrine disorders, as well as gynecological conditions. Treatment methods include internal administration of Chinese medicine, acupuncture, massage and traditional Chinese medicine’s characteristic external therapies. Additionally, there is a related professional medical team. The TCM department was approved by the national Traditional Chinese and Western Medicine flagship department construction project. It is both Shenzhen Chinese medicine key training specialty and Futian district key specialty. It has the Shenzhen Chinese medicine expert inheritance studio, with “SanMing” Medical project. This department is a preferred construction demonstration unit for the Shenzhen grassroots traditional Chinese medicine service capacity improvement project, as well as a member unit of the Guangdong Province Hospital Acupuncture and Moxibustion Medical Alliance. At the same time, the department also serves as a Shenzhen Traditional Chinese medicine culture education base. The department emphasizes its advantages, strengthens cooperation, and takes the integration of traditional Chinese and Western medicine as its core characteristic. It maximizes the strengths of traditional Chinese medicine and collaborates with the Western medicine departments of the hospital to form a series of clinical programs for the integration of traditional Chinese and Western medicine. The main feature of the department’s business is to develop the advantages of combining of traditional Chinese and Western medicine and to implement traditional Chinese medicine services in the Western medicine department of the hospital. The purpose is to further promote the cooperation with the departments of cerebrovascular, orthopedics, cardiology, hepatobiliary and pancreatic surgery, obstetrics, and other specialties.
